We are very excited to be working with an exciting local charity which is on a mission to provide help and resources that make a tangible difference in the lives of the young people they serve. Our client is currently hiring for an Fundraising administrator to join their team.
The role
The successful Administrator will support the development and delivery of the fundraising strategy, helping to steward supporters and increase income for our client. Primarily you will support the Fundraising Team with strong administrative systems and processes to manage income and funder relationships
Main Responsibilities
- Be responsible for thanking and stewarding all supporters and individual donors of one-off and monthly gifts. This will include sending acknowledgements/receipts and thank you letters, making sure all the relevant data, including their communication preferences, is recorded on the fundraising database, and including them in our regular thanking cycle.
- Assist Fundraising team with supporter engagement, stewardship and communications including implementing the Thanking Strategy and updating the CRM system with accurate records
- Support the comms and fundraising team with the creation of fundraising materials, including t-shirts, banners, thank you cards, leaflets/posters, collection boxes, certificates, etc., as well as managing their stock levels and provide to staff, volunteers, trustees and supporters as needed.
- Respond to incoming queries regarding fundraising by telephone and through the fundraising email account in a friendly and timely manner.
- Embrace the volunteer culture of the organisation, you will engage and support volunteer fundraisers in the community.
- Assist with maintaining the fundraising database and associated procedures and best practices including working closely with the finance team.
- Maintain donor data in line with best practice and data protection regulations.
- Proofread marketing copy, monitoring reports and funding applications as required.
- Support with collating feedback and organisational data for monitoring reports and submitting funding applications.
- Collate useful content, such as photos and case studies, and carry out research to help fundraising colleagues develop a strong case for support.
- Support the finance team with raising invoices.
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure income is reconciled and recorded accurately on our systems. Includes correctly coding donations on CRM, allocating against correct constituent, soft crediting as appropriate, processing Gift Aid claims, documenting communication requirements from funders and maintaining opportunities/pledges.
Additional Requirements
- With guidance, to work at all times within the law and adhere to The Code of Fundraising Practice, as well as other relevant legislation and codes of practice, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Act as an ambassador for the business in a wide range of forums.
- To attend training events to develop skills as identified in appraisal / objective setting.
